Perhaps one can simply say, it’s sensory overload. That can apply to our life in the Spirit as well. In my case, I am trying, in the face of all the division and adversity we are witnessing, to step back and tell myself: This is all part of God’s plan. Trust Him; He’s got the helm in this turbulent storm. I find great comfort in this knowledge, because it changes my perspective from self-centered to God-centered.

Comment on Weekly Inspiration: Keeping Our Hands to the Plow by Catherine Anderson https://www.renewalministries.net/weekly-inspiration-keeping-our-hands-to-the-plow/#comment-1798 Thu, 18 Dec 2025 16:05:18 +0000 https://www.renewalministries.net/?p=42798#comment-1798 Dear Katey, somehow God puts things in front of me which I desperately need to hear. Your above article is one of them. It brings to mind a Prayer to Redeem Lost Time by St. Teresa of Avila. I type it here if it might be helpful to others: “O my God, Source of all mercy! I acknowledge Your sovereign power. While recalling the wasted years that are past, I believe that You, Lord, can in an instant turn this loss to gain. Miserable as I am, yet I firmly believe that You can do all things. Please restore to me the lost time, giving me Your grace both now and in the future, that I may appear before You in “wedding garments.” Amen

I love the greeting, “Very dear friends of Renewal Ministries.” I’ve never met you personally Ralph, but do truly feel like the phrase “very dear friends” is true. I think of Renewal as a friend. A place I can always go for refreshment. A place I can TRUST absolutely in the middle of the confusion that seems to be rampant in the world. Thank you “very dear friends”.
