Perhaps one can simply say, it’s sensory overload. That can apply to our life in the Spirit as well. In my case, I am trying, in the face of all the division and adversity we are witnessing, to step back and tell myself: This is all part of God’s plan. Trust Him; He’s got the helm in this turbulent storm. I find great comfort in this knowledge, because it changes my perspective from self-centered to God-centered.

I acknowledge Your sovereign power. While recalling the wasted years that are past, I believe that You, Lord, can in an instant turn this loss to gain. Miserable as I am, yet I firmly believe that You can do all things. Please restore to me the lost time, giving me Your grace both now and in the future, that I may appear before You in “wedding garments.” Amen
